The North Melbourne Football Club purchased three Thumpers recently to aid the massage service we provide our players. The Thumpers are used to increase the efficiency of our massage service, while allowing our players to receive more work in the time they are allowed for their weekly massages.
The Masseurs have found the Thumpers to be a useful tool in minimising the time it takes to warm a player up and therefore to begin deep tissue therapy. They have also been used effectively on game days to provide some players with light warm-up rubs and to help recover at half-time intervals.
I would recommend using them if you would like to use the time you have available for massage more effectively. The masseurs also benefit from decreased workload on their hands.
Our club is renowned for managing injuries and fitness levels and the Thumpers add another important aspect to our player management.
